Male Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) Pikes Peak Region Colorado Springs, Colorado is a slight side view of the male turkey displaying his plumage. I took this photo while I was camping out in the Pikes Peak region at the base of the foothills in spring of 2013. I remember he was walking around strutting his stuff for the pack of female turkeys that had moved off to the male turkey’s left.
