Gray Headed Junco or Dark Eyed Junco (Junco hyemalis) Pikes Peak Region Colorado Springs, Colorado. This image shows the Junco perched in a tree looking for food. I took this photo while I was camping out in the Pikes Peak region at the base of the foothills in spring of 2013. I remember that this particular bird was hard to capture as it kept hopping from branch to branch. It finally settled down and I was able to take the shot.
